Bandfest

Bandfest is an annual festival of banding in the Greater Newcastle Region. Started in 2000, this week long competition celebrates school bands and is for the enjoyment and enrichment of all ages. The festival caters for primary and secondary school enembles from public schools across the region.

The purpose built arts venue and high quality musical adjudicators make this a competition not to be missed in the school year.

Who can enter Bandfest?

The festival is open to NSW Deptartment of Education Primary and High Schools.

Where is Bandfest held?

The festival is held at the Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre, Lake Street, Warners Bay NSW.

What do we perform?

There are no set pieces. Each performance has a set time limit (dependent upon section). You may perform up to four pieces.
